Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda: Renowned Punjabi music singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away on Wednesday, October 8th. He had been on a ventilator for the past 11 days following a road accident in Himachal Pradesh. Rajvir Jawanda was seriously injured in a major road accident near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district on September 27th. According to reports, he was traveling to Shimla on his motorcycle when he lost control near Baddi.

He suffered severe head and spinal injuries in the accident. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital in Solan district. He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at the hospital, after which he was transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab, for better treatment.
Upon arrival at Fortis, doctors and neurosurgery teams immediately began treating him. Rajveer was placed on a ventilator for 11 days due to severe head and spinal injuries. Hospital sources confirmed that his neurological condition remained critical, with reduced brain activity and no signs of improvement.

Wave of mourning across the Punjabi industry
The news of Rajveer’s critical condition following the accident sent shockwaves through the Punjabi music industry and his fans. Following his death, the industry is mourning. Many prominent names, including Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, Amy Virk, Gippy Grewal, and Kanwar Grewal, posted messages of solidarity and prayers for his speedy recovery on social media.
During one of his concerts in Hong Kong, Diljit Dosanjh even stopped his performance and requested the audience to pray for Rajveer.
