The meeting discussed in detail the campaigns conducted during Traffic Month, such as helmet enforcement, seat belt checking, over-speeding prevention, no-entry violations, illegal parking, and action against vehicles without number plates.
Police Commissioner J. Ravinder Gaur directed that special enforcement drives be conducted continuously at hotspots and strict challaning should be ensured against vehicles carrying three passengers, horns, black films, and caste-related slurs. He also reviewed the seminars, rallies, walkathons, street plays, and road safety campaigns organized during Traffic Month.
The Police Commissioner stated that awareness should be further strengthened by continuing such programs. He directed regular updates on all social media platforms, including the Traffic Police’s “X” handle, and directed maximum engagement. He also directed the formation of Traffic Mitra TVF (Traffic Volunteers Force) to increase public support in crowded areas and during festivals.
The Police Commissioner stated that one intersection in each traffic zone will be developed as a model intersection by making it free of traffic jams. The work of reducing the width of the divider at Lal Kuan is pending with NHAI, and instructions were given to expedite it. In places where vehicles travel in the opposite direction, corrective proposals were prepared and sent to the concerned department.
Critical corridors will be marked: The Police Commissioner informed that under the ZFD (Zero Fatality District) program, the Delhi-Meerut Road in Modinagar has been declared a critical corridor. Other routes will also be marked. Instructions were also given for remedial work at black spots, installation of reflectors and cat-eye lights, divider adjustments, and deployment of additional police forces at new congestion points.

The Police Commissioner directed the implementation of a designated route and stand system to eliminate chaos in auto and e-rickshaw operations. He also ordered that all autos and e-rickshaws be provided with QR codes soon. He also directed the continuation of action against excess seats, illegal bumpers, and unauthorized fittings. Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) and Traffic, Alok Priyadarshi, DCP (Traffic) Triguna Bisen, and all ACPs (Traffic) and Traffic Inspectors were present at the meeting.
