Railway New Rules: Do not show these fake documents while traveling by railway, otherwise legal action will be taken

Railways has given TT the right to check Aadhaar card through mAadhaar app so that the use of fake identity cards can be stopped. The app works even without internet.

Railway New Rules: Now if someone shows a fake Aadhaar card while traveling in a train, he will not be able to escape. Railways have decided that TT (Traveling Ticket Examiner) will be given the right to check Aadhaar card in a moving train. It has been seen many times that some people travel in the train by showing someone else’s Aadhaar card or fake identity card. To stop this, now TT will be given a mobile app named ‘M Aadhaar’, through which he will be able to check the Aadhaar card of the passengers.

mAadhaar app has been created by UIDAI. As soon as the QR code of the Aadhaar card is scanned in it, details like the passenger’s name, photo, date of birth and address immediately appear on the mobile screen. This immediately tells whether the Aadhaar is real or not. The special thing about the mAadhaar app is that it works even without internet. It can also be used on mobile or on the railway’s HHT device. It will prove to be very helpful in preventing fraud.

What will happen if the Aadhaar turns out to be fake?

If the TT suspects that the Aadhaar of the passenger is fake, he will immediately hand over that passenger to the GRPF (Railway Police) and action will be taken against him. This step of the Railways is being considered a big and necessary step towards ensuring proper verification of the identity of the passengers and preventing fraud.

Aadhaar required for Tatkal ticket

If you book Tatkal tickets online and have not yet linked your IRCTC account with Aadhaar, do it soon. Railways has made it clear that the accounts of users whose accounts are not verified with Aadhaar can be closed. According to the railway report, about 2.25 lakh passengers book Tatkal tickets every day. Data between May 24 and June 2 showed that as soon as the booking window opens, very few tickets (average 5,615 in AC) are booked in the first minute, but the number suddenly increases (22,827) in the second minute. The reason for this is believed to be bots and fake accounts. To curb this, Railways has now closed more than 2.4 crore fake IDs with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 20 lakh accounts are still under investigation. Railways has made it clear that accounts which do not have Aadhaar verification will be gradually deactivated.
