Railway Passenger New Update: Now you can buy Vrat Thali at these stations, know how to order

You can order this food in the train through IRCTC’s e-Catering website or ‘Food-on-Track’ app.

Navratri 2023: If you are traveling by train and have also celebrated Navratri, then you do not need to worry about food. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched ‘Vrat Ka Khana’ (IRCTC navrati Vrat Ka Khana offer) through e-Catering service for all Navratri festival passengers on select trains and stations. According to the news of Business Standard, the options for fasting food (Vrat Ka Khana) include sago, buckwheat flour, rock salt and more.

These facilities will be available till 24th October

According to the news, IRCTC has made arrangements to provide ‘Vrat Ka Khana’ from October 15 to October 24. 24th October is the day of Vijayadashami. You can order this food in the train through IRCTC’s e-Catering website or ‘Food-on-Track’ app. In this, the app allows customers to make payment on pre-paid or delivery facilities as per their convenience. According to IRCTC, passengers can place their orders at least two hours before the scheduled journey time with a valid PNR. Passengers can choose pre-pay or pay-on-delivery (POD) option as per their convenience.

You will be able to buy Vrat Thali at these stations

IRCTC Vrat Ki thali is available only at limited stations. You can avail it at New Delhi, Ambala Cantt, Jhansi, Aurangabad, Kanpur Central, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Jabalpur, Surat, Kalyan, Borivali, Durg, Jaipur. You can buy this thali at Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Akola, Itarsi, Vasai Road, Nashik Road, Gwalior, Mathura, Nagpur, Bhopal and Ahmednagar stations.

This is how to order food

  • Download ‘Food on Track’ app from Play Store or App Store
  • Enter your PNR number and proceed to order food delivery on your app.
  • After entering the PNR number, give details like passenger details and train name.
  • The app then shows a variety of brands and restaurants that deliver at stations on your route.
  • Add the dishes of your choice from the range of available meals to your cart.
  • You can pay using UPI, Wallet, Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card etc. or you can also choose the option of payment on delivery.
  • Your fresh and wholesome food will then be delivered to your seat.
