A news has come out which will increase tension for the railway employees. A big decision has been taken regarding promotion in the high level meeting of the Railway Board. It has been told that now all the departmental promotion examinations will be conducted by RRB through centralized examination CBT. All the regional railways will prepare an examination calendar and all the examinations will be conducted on the basis of this calendar.
Railway Promotion: In a high-level meeting of the Railway Board, it was decided that all departmental promotion examinations will be conducted by RRB through centralized examination CBT. A calendar will be made for all regional railway examinations. All examinations will be conducted on the basis of the calendar.
In the Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates are shown their question papers, answer sheets and correct answer keys. They are also given an opportunity to raise objections (if any) regarding the correctness of the questions and answer keys. All important data of eligibility such as caste, certificate number, mobile number, identification marks, photo and signature, date of birth and qualification are clearly defined and captured.
Let us tell you that till now examinations have been conducted by RRB with complete transparency without any complaint. From 2015 till date, more than seven crore candidates have been examined through computer-based tests without any paper leak, impersonation, remote login and use of spying devices.
RRB had selected the agency through open tender
The agency fulfilling various criteria was selected by RRB through open tender to conduct the exam. The exam centre is audited by the railway team like no outside bathroom allowed, 100% CCTV coverage and recording two hours before the exam and one hour after the exam.
CCTV surveillance is arranged.
Exam centre details are given 10 days in advance
- Exam city details are given about 10 days before the actual date of the exam. The venue, centre of the exam is made available only four days before the exam. The exam centre is allotted through computerized means avoiding manual intervention.
- Allotment of labs inside the centre and nodes including buffer nodes, are all automated. QR code on the application to detect fake applications and barcode on the admit card to establish the genuineness of the candidate.
- Candidates are checked with metal detectors at the exam centres. Biometric attendance (both LTI and digital) is taken before entry and in between exams and after every bio break.
