Railways has increased the stoppages of several trains including Tejas Rajdhani, Puri Kamakhya, check if your train is included in this.

The Northeast Frontier Railway has increased the number of stoppages for several trains, including the Tejas Rajdhani and Puri-Kamakhya, to provide passenger convenience and improved connectivity at smaller stations. These stoppages are being provided on a trial basis; if successful, they will be made permanent.

New Delhi. The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced new stoppages for several express trains. This decision has been taken to improve passenger convenience. While these stoppages are being provided on an experimental basis, if successful, they will be made permanent. Starting this month, several important trains will stop at smaller stations, providing convenience to residents of those areas and making commuting easier.

  • Agartala-Anand Vihar Tejas Rajdhani Express (20501/20502) will have a 2-minute stoppage at New Cooch Behar station. Train 20501 will be operational from February 23rd and Train 20502 from February 25th. Stoppages will be at 8:43 am and 9:48 pm.
  • Puri-Kamakhya Express (15643/15644): There will be a 2-minute stoppage at Dalgaon station. The stoppages will be at 9:23 pm and 4:50 am for journeys departing from February 21st and returning from February 19th.
  • Agartala-Charlapalli Express (07029/07030): A two-minute stop at Digaru station, effective February 20th and February 23rd. The stop times will be 4:50 PM and 1:50 PM.
  • Tambaram-Silghat Town Nagaon Express (15629/15630): A two-minute stop at Dalkhola station, effective February 16th and February 20th. The stop times will be 10:52 AM and 1:10 PM.
  • Howrah-Balurghat Express (13063/13064): A two-minute stop at Daulatpur Hat station, effective February 4:13 PM and 9:34 PM.
  • Kolkata-Balurghat Express (13161/13162): 2-minute stoppages at Daulatpur Hat at 7:56 PM and 6:38 AM.
  • Tambaram-New Tinsukia Express (15929): 2-minute stoppage at Udalguri station. Starting February 19, the stoppage will be at 8:43 PM.

These changes will provide improved connectivity to remote areas of the Northeast. Passengers are advised to check the IRCTC app and website timetables before traveling, as these are experimental and subject to change. The Railways is continuously addressing passenger demands to ensure that even smaller cities and towns can avail of premium trains.
