Railways has started a new service for passengers, now the Railways will call you and wake you up!

IRCTC Destination Alert Service: The biggest advantage of this IRCTC technology is its timing. Exactly 20 minutes before your destination station, a wake-up alarm will start ringing on your mobile.

IRCTC Destination Alert Service: While traveling by train at night, passengers always fear that they might fall asleep and miss their station. Many passengers even miss their station due to sleepiness. To address this problem, the Railways has launched the “Destination Alert” service. This feature is specifically designed for passengers traveling between 11 pm and 7 am. Currently, this service is available on select long-distance trains in the country, alerting passengers before their station arrives.

The Railways sends an alert message to the mobile phone of passengers availing this service before their station arrives, so they don’t miss their station. This service from IRCTC is no less than a gift for passengers traveling at night.

Fee will have to be paid

You won’t have to spend too much to avail of this VIP railway facility. This service is extremely affordable. If you activate it by calling from a metro city, you’ll pay just ₹1.20 per minute. For non-metro cities, the rate is ₹2 per minute. If you opt for SMS alerts, the fee is only ₹3. This small price guarantees a peaceful and safe journey throughout the night.

Alarm will sound 20 minutes in advance

The most significant advantage of this IRCTC technology is its timing. A wake-up alarm will sound on your mobile phone exactly 20 minutes before your destination station arrives. This 20 minutes is enough time for you to wake up from a deep sleep, gather your belongings (bags, shoes, mobile chargers, etc.), and calmly reach the coach door. The fear of dropping or dropping your luggage in the rush to reach the station is now gone.
