Railways made another big announcement to double farmers’ income, now crores of farmers will benefit

Under this, 50 percent subsidy is given on the transportation of fruits and vegetables already fixed. If put in easy words, any person including the farmer can transport any notified fruits and vegetables crop through the farmer. Railways have to pay only 50% transportation fee for the transportation of these fruits and vegetables, the remaining 50% is given by the Ministry of Transport to Indian Railways under its Operation Greens Scheme.




Currently, the railway is operating three farmer railways – Deolali (Maharashtra) to Muzaffarpur, Andhra Pradesh to Anantpur to Delhi and Bangalore to Delhi. She is also going to start operating the fourth Kisan Rail which runs from Nagpur and Varud Orange City to Delhi in Maharashtra.

Another farmer train started

Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run a special farmer train from Agartala to Howrah and Sealdah from 11 February i.e. from today. The special farmer train will leave Agartala one day a week on Thursday i.e. at 7:15 pm today. It will reach Sealdah on Saturday. The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) will run special trains from Agartala to Howrah and Sealdah from Thursday. The Kisan Special Train will leave Agartala once a week on Thursday at 7:15 and reach Sealdah on Saturday.

In a statement on behalf of the North East Frontier Railway chief PRO Subhan Chanda, it has been said that the railways have started running these farmer special train services to transport perishable and agricultural products including milk, meat and fish. The statement said, “This multi-commodity, multi-consigner / consign, multi-loading unloading transportation product aims to provide a wider market to our farmers.”

The train will have stops for loading unloading at Dharmanagar, Badarpur, Lumding, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Goalpara, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Kaltipur, Bardhaman and Bandel.
