Railways shuts down UTS app, now uses ‘Rail One’ to book general and platform tickets; learn about new features

Railways has discontinued the UTS app for booking unreserved train tickets. Tickets can now be booked through their new app, Rail One. This app allows booking unreserved tickets, reserved tickets, and platform tickets.

Not only this, information related to trains and facility to order food is also being provided through this app. According to the information, UTS app was being run by the Railways for unreserved tickets and platform tickets of trains. Lakhs of tickets were booked daily across the country through this. There was no facility to book reserved tickets in it. For this reason, Indian Railways has now closed it from this month and in its place has started Rail One app with many other facilities. After registering on this app, passengers will be able to avail various facilities from their mobile itself.

Discounts are being offered to passengers.

According to railway officials, the Rail One app will provide easy access to information about any train, including ticket booking. Passengers can also order food from outside the train. They can also lodge complaints about any railway-related issues. To promote this app, passengers are also being offered a 3% discount on unreserved ticket bookings.

How to use the app:

● Download Rail One app from Google Play Store or Apple Store

● Enter your mobile number and login using OTP.

● Book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets from the app.

● Get train, PNR, coach information, and train location information.

● Facility to lodge complaint on Rail Madad and order food is also available in it.

These features will be available:

● You can book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets.

● You can check PNR status.

● You can check whether your ticket is confirmed or on a waiting list.

● You can check the current train status.

● You can order food on the train.

● You can order food from e-catering right at your seat.

● You can report any issues regarding cleanliness, security, or other issues directly from the app.

● You can view refunds for cancelled tickets and all booking details.

● You can also book porters and taxis.
