Weather Update : The weather of many states of North India including Western Disturbance has changed. While heavy rain and snowfall has affected life in the hilly states, it is also raining in the plains. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be rain, storm and hailstorm in many states including UP-Bihar. However, the Western Disturbance system has weakened a bit.
“An intense western disturbance is passing over northern India… The system is weakening but moderate thunderstorms are expected over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Heavy rain is expected over Arunachal Pradesh. Easterly waves are blowing, causing heavy rains over South India, affecting Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. A new western disturbance is expected to arrive, bringing another round of rain and thunderstorms over the northern hills,” Dr Soma Sen, scientist at the Meteorological Department, told ANI.
In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour today, while warning of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued. Not only this, hailstorm is also going to occur in Chhattisgarh today. There will be heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today.
New Western Disturbance coming tomorrow
The Meteorological Department has informed that a new Western Disturbance is going to knock in North West India from tomorrow night i.e. March 2. Due to this, the weather will deteriorate and there will be heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand from March 2 to 4, Himachal Pradesh on March 3. Talking about the northeastern states, there will be heavy rain in eastern Arunachal Pradesh, Northeast Assam, Nagaland on March 1. At the same time, there is an alert of heavy rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Northeast Assam on March 1. Apart from this, warning has been issued for rain in Tamil Nadu in the south on March 1, Kerala, Lakshadweep on March 2.
Temperature will fall by four degrees
The temperature of North West India will fall by four degrees in the next two days. In Central India, the minimum temperature will fall by two degrees Celsius after the next three days. At the same time, heatwave conditions are going to prevail in coastal Karnataka on March 2. Hot and humid weather is going to prevail in Konkan, Goa from March 1 to 3, and in coastal Karnataka on March 3.
