IMD Update: The effect of rain has been seen in many states of North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that there will be heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh till February 28.
Weather Update: February has reached its last stage. Cold is bidding farewell to North India. Meanwhile, the weather in the country has shown signs of changing. The effect of rain has been seen in many states of North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that there will be heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh till February 28, while its effect will also be seen in Uttarakhand on February 27 and 28. On the other hand, there is a possibility of heat wave in some areas of Konkan.
Alert of heavy snowfall and rain in the mountains
According to the Meteorological Department, due to an active western disturbance, heavy rain and snowfall will be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh in the next two-three days. Uttarakhand will be more affected on 27 and 28 February. Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR may receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms between February 27 and March 1. Hailstorms with strong winds are also expected in Punjab and Haryana on February 27 and 28.

Delhi-NCR Weather
Amid the recent drizzle in Delhi, the sky will remain cloudy for the next few days and light rain is expected. The maximum temperature will be between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 15 to 17 degrees.
Mild effect in central and eastern India
Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh may record light rain between February 27 and March 1. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe may receive thunderstorms between February 27 and March 2. Heavy rain is expected in Lakshadweep on March 1 and 2.
Heatwave in Konkan and Goa
Heat wave may prevail in different parts of Konkan and Goa during the next 24 hours. The temperature may go up to 5 degrees above normal. Apart from this, hot and humid weather will also prevail in parts of Gujarat, coastal Karnataka and Vidarbha.
