Ramayana, Mahabharata included in new course of students in Saudi Arabia

“Saudi Arabia’s new vision-2030 and syllabus will help create a future that is inclusive, liberal and tolerant.

New Delhi. Students of Saudi Arabia will now learn about Hindu epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata under the new syllabus. As part of Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s New Vision 2030 for the education sector in Saudi Arabia, the study of different cultures is being added to the syllabus to provide more information about the history of other countries, different cultures .

According to the news of India Today.in, under this vision, students will be taught Ramayana and Mahabharata. These studies will be to expand the cultural knowledge of the students. It will focus on important parts of Indian culture such as Yoga and Ayurveda.

In addition to the introduction of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata in the Saudi Arabian curriculum, the English language has been made compulsory in the new Vision 2030.

dismissing all the confusion about all the changes made in the education sector, Saudi users have clarified the vision by sharing a screenshot of Twitter called Nouf-al-Marwai.

Twitter user Nouf-al-Marwai wrote, “New vision of Saudi Arabia -2030 and Syllabus will help create a future that is inclusive, generous and tolerant. “The Twitter user also shared a screenshot of his son’s curriculum, which covered a wide range of cultures.

He added in his tweet, “Today a screenshot of my son’s school exam social studies, which includes Hinduism, Buddhism, Ramayana, Karma, Mahabharata and History. I was helped by his studies.
