Rapid Rail Project Work on the Delhi-Karnal Rapid Rail Project will start soon in Sonipat. A Rapid Rail station will be built near Kundli Metro Station which will be connected to the FOB. Offices will be set up in Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal for the project. This project will be completed in five years and will have 13 stations.
The construction work of the much-awaited Rapid Rail project between Delhi and Karnal is going to start soon. For this project, a place is being searched to build offices in Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal on the National Highway.
The elevated route of the project will be built from National Highway-44 towards Yamuna. At the same time, there will be a Rapid Rail station near the metro station in Kundli.
A foot overbridge will be constructed over the National Highway to connect both the stations. Similarly, FOBs can be constructed at other places as per the requirement as per the rules.
The first station of Rapid Rail will be built near Sudhir Dhaba near Drain Number Eight. Jagran
Tehsildar of National Capital Region Transport Corporation Jaiveer Ranga said that the Namo Bharat Corridor High Speed Rapid Train project will start from Jangpura in Delhi.
From there, it will reach Kundli via Kashmiri Gate ISBT and Alipur via Sarai Kale Khan. Most of the 129 km route till Karnal will be elevated. The route in Panipat will be underground.
The project will be completed in five years
Jaiveer Ranga said that government buildings will be given preference in building offices for the project. The tender process for the project will be started soon. This project, to be completed in five years, is likely to start before the next financial year.
13 stations will be built at these places
He told that in this project 13 stations are to be built till Karnal. These include Kundli in Sonipat, near KMP, Bahalgarh, Murthal Chowk, Ganaur Samalkha, near Siwah bus stand, near the crossing from the railway station towards Gohana in Panipat, Sector-18 Panipat, Gharaunda, Madhuban, near the DC office in Sector-7 of Karnal and the last station will be built near the new bus stand of Karnal.
This is a project of the central government. For its construction work in Haryana, 45 percent of the cost will be borne by the state and the remaining 55 percent by the central government.
