Complaints were coming continuously, in fact, e-POS system is applicable at ration shops in the capital Delhi. There the cardholder is being given ration after biometric matching through e-POS machine to take ration. But, biometric matching of many elderly people and other people was not being done through e-POS. Due to this people were not getting the facility of ration. After such complaints, the Delhi government started the nomination facility.

Reportedly, Food Minister Imran Hussain (Imran Hussain) said that can not be matched biometric get free ration of the ration card holders in Delhi, they now take it on your behalf Can nominate any other person for It should be ensured that no person is deprived of ration due to biometric lapses.

This facility will benefit the elderly and sick people a lot. Families where all the people are elderly or ill can nominate another person to bring their ration. Similarly, people with disabilities and working class will also get the benefit of this facility. Because while working, the thumb lines of many laborers get erased. Provided that, the person whose name is to be decided, his ration card should also be registered at the same shop from where the ration of the family concerned is received.
