Reliance Jio is one of the largest telecom companies in the country. And now the company has given a big blow to its prepaid customers. Reliance Jio has discontinued both its Disney + Hotstar plans. Let us tell you that just a few weeks ago, Jio had stopped all plans with Disney + Hotstar Mobile Subscription. But still Disney + Hotstar Premium subscription was still being offered in the plan of Rs 1499 and Rs 4199.
But now Mukesh Ambani-owned Jio has removed both the Rs 1499 and Rs 4199 plans from its mobile app and website. This means that Disney + Hotstar subscription is no longer available in any prepaid plan of Reliance Jio. Prepaid users will now have to switch to Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea to take advantage of OTT. Let us tell you that this information was first made public in a report by TelecomTalk.
Now that OTT Subscription Free is not available in any plan of Reliance Jio, it is expected that the company may soon launch new plans with OTT membership. Disney + Hotstar in India has benefited greatly after partnering with Jio.
Reliance Jio discontinued plans of Rs 1499 and Rs 4199
The Rs 1499 and Rs 4199 prepaid plans are no longer available to the customers. Disney + Hotstar premium subscriptions are offered in both these plans. These two plans were the only options left for Jio users who wanted free Hotstar membership.
The Rs 1499 plan offers features like 2GB daily data, 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calling. Apart from this, access to Jio Apps was also being offered in this plan. Disney + Hotstar Premium Subscription 1 was available for 1 year in this plan. Its validity is 84 days.
3 GB daily data, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS were being offered every day in the plan of Rs 4199. This plan was available with 365 days validity offer along with Jio apps access. Disney + Hotstar subscription was also available in this plan for 1 year.
