Jio offers a variety of prepaid plans to its customers. For now, we’re focusing on the company’s plans that come without data, meaning they are voice-only plans.
Jio prepaid plan: India’s largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio, has two voice-only prepaid plans for its users. These plans are priced at Rs 1,748 and Rs 448. The operator introduced these plans following an order from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). TRAI’s order stated that every telecom operator should have prepaid plans that offer only voice calling benefits and no data. This was because even customers who didn’t need data were forced to recharge with bundled data plans. This meant they had to pay more than they wanted. Let’s learn more about these plans.
Reliance Jio’s Rs. 1178 prepaid plan
Reliance Jio’s Rs. 1178 prepaid plan comes with a service validity of 336 days. This plan offers unlimited voice calling and no data. 3600 SMS are bundled with the plan. This is a voice-only plan and is valid only for the service validity period. Users don’t get any additional benefits with this plan. JioTV and JioCloud are included. However, you can recharge with a data pack on top of this plan whenever you wish.
Reliance Jio’s Rs. 448 prepaid plan
Reliance Jio’s Rs. 448 prepaid plan comes with unlimited voice calling and 1,000 SMS. This plan offers a service validity of 84 days. Again, there are no additional benefits. Only JioTV and JioAiCloud are add-on benefits. There are no data bundles, but users can always recharge with additional data packs.
Reliance Jio’s cheapest data voucher costs ₹19. This data voucher offers 1GB of data, but its validity is only for one day. Therefore, if you recharge with this plan, it will only be good for you for one day. These voice-only plans are suitable for those who don’t need mobile data, but still want the benefits of service validity and voice calling.
