Aadhaar Authentication: Now you have to get a learner’s license or renew a driving license to drive a car, everyone will be sitting at home – your Aadhaar card will be required. Not only this, you will not need to go to Regional Transport Office (RTO) for temporary registration of the vehicle. The government has announced that you will be able to do 18 such works from home online. The Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway has issued a notification on the authentication process through Aadhaar.

According to the ministry, awareness will be made available to the people on the use of Aadhaar to make the process easy and contactless.

3.Change of address in driving license
4.Registration certificate
5.International driving permit
6.Application for temporary registration of car
7.Application for registration of motor vehicle
8.Copy of RC
9.Application for RC for NOC
10.Notice and application for transfer of ownership on car
11.Registration for driver training
12.Work related to higher-purchase agreement
To take advantage of all these features, you will have to get Aadhaar authentication done.
The Ministry has said that due to the process online, the burden of compliance will be reduced on the citizens, facilities will be easily available and will be contactless. This will reduce the number of people coming and going on RTO, which will also facilitate their work
If no Aadhaar has been issued, then they will be able to take advantage of these facilities through Aadhaar’s ID slip.
