A user named OnLeaks posted images and a short video on X (formerly Twitter) showing a dummy phone of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. While the overall shape of the handset appears to be similar to last year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, the camera module appears to have been updated with a new design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. In the leaked images, a raised camera island with three camera sensors can be seen.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Launch Date (Expected)
Samsung unveiled its Galaxy S26 series in February 2025. While there has been no official announcement from the company, it is speculated that Samsung may push its launch date to 2026. The company may follow its three-model strategy, which could include the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
Specifications-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. The latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset is expected to significantly improve performance. Like last year, this chipset is also expected to be optimized for Galaxy phones.
Reports suggest that this processor will be paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Regarding the camera, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to feature the company’s best-ever camera setup. The quad-camera setup will include a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and an additional 10MP shooter. The handset is believed to run on One UI 16 based on Android 8.5 operating system.
Regarding the battery, rumors suggest that this smartphone will feature a 5000mAh battery that will support 60W wired charging and 20W wireless charging, compared to the 45W on the Galaxy S25 Ultra model.
