Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Samsung is gearing up for its next major flagship smartphone, and initial leaks about the Galaxy S26 series have begun to surface. Reports suggest that the company may launch three models next year—the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is generating the most buzz. It’s believed to receive the most significant upgrades in this series, while Samsung may discontinue its Edge variant altogether. According to leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a larger battery, faster charging, an improved camera, and a more powerful processor. Now, let’s explore what we can expect from this smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Specifications
According to initial leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. The device may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
The handset is reportedly equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 60W wired charging and 20W wireless charging, a significant upgrade over previous Ultra models. Software-wise, it’s expected to come pre-installed with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Camera and Design Changes
Camera hardware has always been a highlight of the Ultra series, and the S26 Ultra won’t disappoint. Leaks suggest the phone will feature a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and an additional 10MP telephoto shooter.
In terms of design, don’t expect any major changes. The phone is believed to retain the design style of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, although there’s talk of a dedicated camera island replacing the floating camera layout. There’s also talk of a thinner chassis, which is considered a welcome change considering the Ultra’s size.
