SBI Doorstep Banking: State Bank of India (SBI) has announced free doorstep banking service for its differently-abled customers. Customers can avail this service for free thrice a month.
SBI Doorstep Banking: Banking service is becoming more advanced day by day than before. In today’s time, banks allow their customers to do most of the work online. Despite this, there are some things that cannot be done sitting at home. Like withdrawing cash or depositing any necessary document in the bank. But keeping in mind its senior citizens and differently-abled customers, the bank has started doorstep banking for these services as well. Although generally you have to pay some service charge for these services. But the State Bank of India (SBI) has announced to give relief to its disabled customers from this service charge.
SBI said in a tweet, “SBI at your doorstep! SBI is ready to provide free ‘door step banking services’ thrice a month for customers with disabilities.”
3 free service will be available in a month
SBI said that its disabled customers will get doorstep banking service absolutely free of cost thrice in a month. After this, if you take further service, then you will have to pay a charge.

In the Doorstep Banking Services (DSB) of State Bank of India (SBI), customers get the benefit of many facilities. The bank is getting this facility for its customers in many branches since 2018.

- Cash delivery
- Check pickup
- Check receipt slip pickup
- Form 15H Pickup
- Delivery of drafts
- Delivery of term deposit
- Life certificate pickup
- KYC document pickup
Cash up to 20 thousand rupees will be available sitting at home
Through SBI’s Doorstep Banking facility, you can order a minimum of Rs 1,000 and a maximum of Rs 20,000 sitting at home. But keep in mind that for the facility of cash withdrawal, it is necessary to have sufficient balance in your account. Otherwise your transaction will be cancelled.
Features of Doorstep Banking
- For this, registration has to be done in the home branch.
- Till this facility is not completed at the contact center, it will have to be applied for at the home branch itself.
- The maximum limit for both depositing and withdrawing money is 20 thousand rupees per day.
- Service charge Rs 60+GST for all non-financial transactions
- Whereas for financial transactions it is Rs 100 + GST.
- To withdraw money, along with check and withdrawal form, passbook will also be required.
