The bank has said that we advise our customers to be alert to fraudsters and not to share any sensitive information online. SBI gave these tips to the customers to survive
- Follow the standard rules and do not share your personal and banking details with any unknown person.
- Do not click on any unofficial link which asks for One Time Password or Bank Details for EMI, DBT, PM Care Fund or any other CARE Fund.
- Beware of bogus schemes that claim to offer lottery, cash prizes or job opportunities through SMS, e-mails, letters, phone calls or advertisements.
- Change your bank password from time to time.
- Please note that SBI representatives never send email/SMS or calls to their customers asking for their personal information, passwords, high security passwords or OTPs.
- For contact number and other details regarding SBI, please visit SBI website only. Do not rely on information available on Internet search results in this regard.
- Report the fraudsters immediately to the local police officer and report the same to your nearest SBI branch.
