How to do for SBI Holiday Savings Account?
Under this scheme of SBI, you have to plan a tour in advance. After this, you can make your holiday fabulous with a regular savings. Actually, SBI has started a special savings scheme for this in collaboration with Cox and Kings (coxandkings). You have to select a package on the website under Holiday Savings Accounts.
Whichever package you choose, the entire expenditure on it will be divided into 13 parts. Now e-RD account will be opened for 12 monthly installments. You have to fill 12 installments, while the 13th installment will be funded by Cogs and Kings. In this way a great package will be prepared for your trip and you will be able to enjoy your vacation.
How does the scheme work, what is the complete process?
1. Go to Cox & King website and choose your favorite package.
2. After choosing the package, you will be redirected to the online SBI portal.
3. After this, you will be able to open an e-RD account for 12 monthly installments on SBI portal.
4. Interest will also be available for 12 months at the interest rates applicable on this e-RD.
5. The 12-month maturity amount will be transferred to Cox and Kings for the pre-selected holiday package.
6. You do not have to pay the 13th installment of the cost of the holiday package. It will be filled by Cox and Kings.
Know some conditions of SBI Holiday Savings Account
1. Information related to your account will be shared with Cox & Kings.
2. The e-RD account will be opened in the name of the account holder, from whose account the amount will be deposited in it.
3. The holiday package tenure is fixed for 12 months. The premature withdrawal of penalty will be levied on closing the E-RD before the scheduled time.
4. If there is a delay in filling the RD installment, then a penalty of Rs 1.50 will be charged at Rs 100 per month.
5. On closing the e-RD account before time, the amount of the account will be deposited in the same account from which the money was being deposited in the e-RD.
The maturity amount will be automatically transferred for the holiday package
If the customer does not give instructions to transfer that money to the savings account after the e-RD account matures, then that amount will be automatically transferred to Cox & Kings.
TDS will also be payable on the e-RD account. In such a situation, due to the TDS cut at the time of maturity, the amount transferred to Cox and Kings may be slightly less. In the event of any dispute by Cox & Kings, the bank will not be held accountable.
