Amritsar News: Many schools in Amritsar city had received threatening emails, after which, in view of security, it has been announced to immediately close all government, private and aided schools in the district.
Punjab News: Several schools in Punjab’s Amritsar district were suddenly forced to close. The district administration took significant action after receiving similar threatening emails at several prominent schools in the city recently. Prioritizing security, all government, private, and aided schools in the district were immediately closed.
Exams Also Postponed
District Education Officer Rajesh Sharma stated that official orders are being issued. He further stated that all schools are safe and the administration is closely monitoring the situation. Following the receipt of the threatening email, many schools sent holiday notices to parents early in the morning, urging them to immediately report to school and pick up their children. Meanwhile, senior police officers are monitoring security arrangements at schools. The Amritsar Police Commissionerate tweeted that several schools in the city and surrounding rural areas have received suspicious emails. Security agencies have immediately launched an investigation. A gazetted officer has been deployed at each school, and anti-sabotage checks are being conducted to prevent any potential threats. Amritsar Police on Alert
According to administrative sources, similar emails to students in previous cases have been found to be pranks, so every aspect is being thoroughly investigated. The police appealed to the public not to panic, stating that the situation is being closely monitored and the police are fully alert. Similarly, Amritsar DCP Law and Order Alam Vijay Singh, while addressing the email received by schools, said there was no need to panic. Police are on full alert and security agencies have launched an operation.
