Jalore News: Due to the severe cold in Jalore, the Education Department has declared a holiday for students from pre-primary to grade 5 until January 10, 2026. The order also clarifies that academic and non-academic school staff will not be on leave. All teachers, office staff, and other staff will be present regularly in school and perform departmental duties.
School Closed: In view of the severe cold and cold wave prevailing in Jalore district, the Education Department has taken a major decision. According to an order issued by the Chief District Education Officer, Samagra Shiksha Jalore, a holiday has been declared for students from pre-primary to grade 5 in all government and non-government recognized schools in the district.
Due to the cold wave, students have been declared on leave until January 10th. This holiday will be effective from today until January 10th, 2026. The order clarifies that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the health and safety of children, as the temperature in the district is continuously dropping these days and the effect of strong cold winds is being felt in the morning and evening.
Teachers and staff will be present in school regularly.
The order also clarifies that academic and non-academic staff will not be on leave. All teachers, office staff, and other staff will be present in school regularly and perform departmental duties. This is intended to ensure that academic and administrative work is not affected.
What does the order say?
In an order issued by the Chief District Education Officer’s office, all CBEOs, PEOs, and UCEEOs have been directed to ensure strict compliance with this order in their respective areas. If any school is found violating the order, action may be taken against the head of the institution.
A copy of this order has been sent to the Director of Secondary and Elementary Education, Rajasthan, Bikaner, the District Collector, Jalore, the Joint Director of School Education, Pali Division, and all other relevant officials, including the District Education Officers, for information and compliance.
Children are facing the most problems
Every year, young children face the most difficulties during the cold wave. Cold morning air, fog, and low temperatures can adversely affect children’s health. In such a situation, this decision by the Education Department is being considered a relief for parents and teachers. Parents have also been urged to take necessary precautions to protect their children from the cold during this period and keep them safe at home until the weather returns.
