Schools around Avantipora and Srinagar Airport will also remain closed. This instruction has been issued as a precaution.
On April 22, four terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. After this, India took tough decisions against Pakistan and cancelled the visas of Pakistani citizens and reduced the number of ambassadors as well as ended the Indus Water Treaty. Since then, a panicked Pakistan has been continuously firing on the border.

Blackouts were also done in many cities, so that common people could be saved from enemy planes during air strikes.
