School & Coaching Time Changed: Amid the scorching heat in Patna, schools and coaching institutes have been banned from operating after 11 am. The new timing will remain in force till June 16.
School & Coaching Time Changed: Due to severe heat in Patna district of Bihar, the timings of schools and coaching institutes have been changed. Now, there will be no classes after 11 am in schools up to class 8 in the district. Anganwadi centers have been ordered to close at 10 am. Similarly, coaching institutes will be banned from operating from 11 am to 4.30 pm. Coaching operators can run classes only before 11 am and after 4.30 pm. DM Tyagarajan issued an order in this regard late on Thursday night.
This order will be applicable to all types of educational institutions, government and private. The DM said in his order that due to high temperature in the district and severe heat especially during the afternoon, there is a possibility of adverse effect on the health of children. Therefore, schools and coaching institutes will be closed before the sun becomes harsh. This order will be applicable from 13 to 16 June.
Let us tell you that there is severe heat in entire South Bihar including Patna at this time. The maximum temperature in the capital was recorded above 40 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The sun is expected to remain harsh on Friday as well. Although summer vacation is going on in government schools, but studies are going on in many private schools and coaching institutes. Therefore, the DM has changed the timings of educational institutions in view of the heat.
