School Holiday 2025: There is a relief news for school students. Due to continuous heavy rains, holiday has been declared today on 1st September in all private and government educational institutions in Kinnaur, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla of Himachal Pradesh. Anganwadi centers, colleges and ITI will also remain closed in Kinnaur. Holiday has been declared in all Anganwadi centers along with schools from class 1 to 12th in Champawat, Nainital, Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Almora, Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand.
Holiday declared today on 1st September in these districts of Rajasthan
- Alwar Collector Dr. Artika Shukla has declared holiday on 1st September in all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12th. There will be a public holiday on 2nd September due to Baba Ramdev Jayanti.
- Holiday has been declared for students in all Anganwadi centres and schools (classes pre-primary to 12th) in Sirohi, Tonk and Jhunjhunu on Monday.
- Due to the warning of heavy rains in Nagaur, Kotputli and Behror, the District Collector has declared holiday in all Anganwadi centres and all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12.
Schools closed till 3rd September in Punjab and 2nd September in Pilibhit
In view of heavy rains and floods in Punjab, the Bhagwant Mann government has issued an order to keep all government and private schools closed till September 3. During this period, all government, aided, recognized and private schools will remain closed.
In UP’s Pilibhit too, District Magistrate Gyanendra Singh has declared holiday on September 1 and 2 in all schools from class 1 to 8 and has given instructions to strictly follow the order.

4-5 September (Thursday-Friday): Onam (famous harvest festival of Kerala) Teachers’ Day,
5 September (Friday): Eid-e-Milad (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday Delhi, UP, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu may remain closed)
6 2025, Saturday: Anant Chaturdashi (Schools may remain closed in Maharashtra)
7 September: Sunday
