School Holiday: All schools and colleges closed in this state till October 17, order issued

Heavy rain is being witnessed in Tamil Nadu. Also, rainy conditions prevail in Andhra Pradesh. In such a situation, the government has declared holiday in all schools sensing the situation.

School Holiday: On the one hand, cold has started knocking in many states of the country, on the other hand, heavy rains in many states have disrupted the lives of people. Along with this, air pollution has also started spreading its feet. On one hand, cold is starting in Delhi, UP, Bihar, while a period of heavy rains has started in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. People’s lives are getting difficult due to rain. It is raining heavily in Chennai, Tamil Nadu since this morning. In view of this, schools and offices in Tamil Nadu are closed today. Also, in Andhra Pradesh, the government has declared a holiday till October 17.

Closed till October 17

Let us tell you that many districts of Andhra Pradesh are receiving continuous heavy rains, due to which the state government has declared holidays in schools, colleges and other educational institutions in the affected areas. The government issued an order stating that schools in other districts like Tirupati, Chittoor, Nellore and Prakasam will remain closed till October 17, 2024.

Alert issued

The IMD has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh till Thursday. This is due to the low pressure system forming in the southern part of the Bay of Bengal, which is expected to strengthen and move towards the coast, causing heavy rains across the state. According to the IMD alert, districts like Krishna, Bapatla, Nellore, Prakasam, Tirupati and Chittoor are likely to receive heavy rains till Thursday, with wind speeds reaching up to 65 kmph. Apart from this, very heavy rains are expected in Sri Sathyasai, Annamaiya and YSR districts.

The state government has issued an early warning to the district collectors, urging them to be prepared for possible flooding in low-lying areas. Fishermen have been advised to stay away from the coast due to dangerous sea conditions.
