In such a situation, parents became worried about sending their children to school. On the instructions of DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami, Thursday was declared holiday in schools up to 12th. But after that the children will have to go shivering.

In the order issued on the instructions of DM Bhanu Chandra Goswami, District School Inspector Dinesh Kumar Singh has given instructions to declare holidays in all board schools from classes 6 to 12 and District Basic Education Officer Jitendra Kumar Gond due to cold wave in all board schools up to class 8.

The said order has been issued for one day only. Till now there were instructions to open all schools at or after 9:00 am.

Papa organization demanded

Manoj Sharma of Progressive Association of Agra (Papa) has written a letter to the DM demanding closure of schools for the time being. He says that if he is called to school in this cold, there is a possibility of him falling ill. United Teachers Association (Utah) District Minister Rajeev Verma says that due to extreme cold, the health of children can deteriorate, their leave should be kept.
