Holidays have been declared in all government and private schools in Haryana, Punjab and Bihar. Schools will now open in Haryana and Punjab from July 1, but in other states including Bihar, schools will start opening from June 15 to 20.
School Holiday: There is a good news for school students of Haryana, Punjab and Bihar. Summer vacation is going to start in schools from the month of June, which will benefit the students. However, summer vacation has started in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and will continue from 15 to 30 June. Since summer vacation will continue in most states in June, such children will not be affected much by the closure of schools on weekends or other holidays.
Apart from this, schools will remain closed on different days in the month of June as well. All schools will remain closed on Sundays on 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 June and on 6-7 June due to Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid). There may also be a holiday in schools in many states on the second and fourth Saturdays. Some schools may declare holidays in schools due to local festivals or regional events. Some private schools may organize summer camps or workshops during summer vacations.
Summer holidays will start from June in these states
- All government and private schools will remain closed in Punjab from 2 to 30 June 2025.
- The Haryana Education Department has announced summer holidays in all government and private schools from 1 to 30 June 2025. Schools will reopen from 1 July.
- The Bihar government has declared summer holidays in all government and aided schools from 2 to 21 June 2025. As June 22 is Sunday, schools will reopen from June 23 and regular classes will start. During this time, students and teachers will be exempted from coming to school, but during the holidays, the headmasters will have to come to the school to deal with government orders, financial management and emergencies. In special circumstances, they can also call teachers for help.
- The Himachal Pradesh Education Department has declared holidays in Una district from June 1 to 30 in view of the scorching heat. After this, the schools will reopen on July 1 and classes will continue till August 2, after which the schools will again close for a short vacation from August 3 to 12.
Summer vacation continues in these states, know when will schools open?
- Summer vacation of school students in Madhya Pradesh is going on from May 1 and will continue till June 15. This vacation is applicable to all private and government schools in the state simultaneously.
- Summer vacation will continue in schools till June 15, 2025 in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan as well.
- Summer vacation in Delhi schools will end on June 30 and schools will open from July 1. However, teachers will have to report to schools from June 28. Schools in Goa will open from June 9 and Gujarat from June 4.
- Summer vacation has been declared in 1.33 lakh council schools in UP till June 15. Schools will reopen from June 16. However, summer camps will be organized in upper primary and composite schools till June 10.
- Summer vacation will continue till June 30 in more than 120 government schools in Chandigarh, that is, there will be a holiday in Chandigarh schools for 39 days and then schools will reopen on July 1.
