School Holiday Extended: Holidays extended by 3 days for students, know when schools will open

Due to deteriorating weather, Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Anant Chaturdashi, holidays have been extended in private and government schools and Anganwadi centers in Punjab, UP, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. Now schools will open on Monday 8 September.

School Holiday Extended: There is a relief news for school students. In view of heavy rains and waterlogging in Hisar and Sirsa districts of Haryana, all government and private schools have declared holiday on 5th and 6th September. The order states that if the weather remains normal, schools will be opened regularly from 8th September. All government and non-government schools under Fatehabad block Bhuna, Jakhal and Tohana will have holiday on 5th September and Jhajjar on 6th September. All government and non-government schools in Rohtak city have also been ordered to be closed till further orders.

Holidays declared in these states too

In Punjab and Himachal Pradesh too, all schools, colleges and universities have been declared closed till September 7. During this time, online classes will be conducted. It is not necessary for teachers and employees to be present in schools and colleges.

Under the order of the General Administration Department (GAD), there will be a holiday on September 5 in other districts of Maharashtra. Whereas in Mumbai city and suburbs, schools will remain closed on September 8 due to the program of Eid Milad-un-Nabi. An order has been issued to keep all government and private schools and colleges closed on September 5 in Jammu division.

Holiday has been declared for three days in all government and private schools in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. This includes Eid Milad-un-Nabi on September 5, Anant Chaturdashi on September 6, and weekly holiday on September 7.

5 September (Friday): Eid-e-Milad (Prophet Muhammad’s birthday Delhi, UP, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu may remain closed)

6 September 2025, Saturday: Anant Chaturdashi (Schools may remain closed in Maharashtra)

7 September: Sunday

13 September second Saturday

14 September 2025: Sunday

21 September 2025: Sunday

22 September, Monday 2025: Navratri begins

27 September fourth Saturday

28 September 2025: Sunday

30 September (Tuesday): Durga Puja (Mahastami) (West Bengal, UP, Bihar, Tripura and Assam
