In such a situation, Virat Kohli, head coach Ravi Shastri and the rest of the management want Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal to be sent as options. But people associated with the selection committee believe that Easwaran should not be judged only on the basis of throwdown. Anyway, he has gone as a reserve.
