TCS orders employees: 12 days work from office is necessary, work from home will not work arbitrarily

In October, the company told its employees that managers would roster them (call to office) three days a week, which they had to follow.

TCS Calling Employees To Office: The country’s largest IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has started sending memos to those employees who are not working from office for at least 12 days in a month. The company has said in the memo that disciplinary proceedings will be initiated for non-adherence to the roster. The memo warned and instructed to immediately start reporting from the office location.

In October, the company told its employees that managers would roster them three days a week, which they had to comply with.

Same situation in many companies

During the Corona period, companies from India and abroad had provided work-from-home facility. Companies reopened offices after the Corona cases decreased. But many employees are not coming to office. Instead of working from home. There is a tussle between the management and the employees in many companies regarding this.

Employees Become Part of the Vibrant Ecosystem

We are excited to see our campuses buzzing with energy and want all our employees to be a part of this vibrant ecosystem, TCS was quoted as saying in the TOI report. A large number of new employees have joined TCS in the last two years. The company wants them to experience TCS collaborating, learning, growing and having fun together.

When is work from allowed

If TCS employees want exemption from work from office, they will have to request five days in advance. The HR system will not accept any backdated work from home applications. Apart from medical emergency, the company had talked about not promoting work from home.

TCS was one of the first IT services companies to invite its employees to the office and the only company to strictly enforce it.
