When you get commission, salary or any payment from anywhere, a part of the tax is deducted from it and deposited in your PAN card account. This money is called TDS, which is fixed on the basis of your income. But, it happens that if your income does not fall in the income tax slab, then you get this TDS money back. For this, you have to file ITR, from which you get your deducted money back.

If you also feel that your TDS has been deducted and you want to get it back then you can take it back. If a person has not filed ITR for 2019-20 and 2020-21, then the rate of TDS will be higher on him. Section 206CCA and section 206AB will be applicable only if ITR for both the years is not filed. This section will not be applicable if ITR has been filed for any one year.
