Since the border dispute between India and China, India has banned Chinese Apps. India has already banned at least 200 Chinese apps.


Due to this, the number of local app developers in India has increased. These homegrown mobile apps are now quite popular among Indian users. This can be gauged from the fact that there has been a big jump in users downloading native apps in India. Even the Indian government is promoting these native apps. So it will be interesting to see if these homegrown apps will be able to compete with foreign apps like WhatsApp, Twitter and Google Maps.

WhatsApp’s native app Sandes

National Informatics Center (IMC) has launched the indigenous version of WhatsApp ‘Sandes’ in India. If you are worried about the privacy policy of WhatsApp, then now your worry will be over. The Sandes app is available for both iOS and Android users. There are many such features found in the Sandes app, which have been given in the past days, which are given in WhatsApp. In this app you will get all the features like end to end encryption, contact sharing, message styling, group chatting, video and voice calls like WhatsApp.

The Moj

Moj app , a homegrown app from TikTok and Instagram Reels, is  popular among people. This mobile app can be used as an alternative to Tick-Talk and Instagram Reels. Talking about Moj app, it is a short video sharing app, plus it is a native app. In this app, users can share their videos as well as watch other’s videos and can also share them. The video has a time limit of 15 seconds. That is, users can create a 15-second video and filter and share it. Moj app has many videos like Dance, Comedy, Vlog, Food, DIY, Entertainment, News, Funny Videos, Songs and Love Shayari.

Efforts have intensified on Twitter’s Koo app  , the self-reliant India initiative in the country. The Koo app is being called the native version of Twitter. It has been promoted in the collision of Twitter by the Union Ministers as part of the self-sufficient India campaign. The Koo app currently supports Indian languages ​​Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Oriya and Assamese. It works just like a tweeter. Recently a special feature has also been added to this app, through which users will now be able to type messages by speaking in their regional language.

Google Maps’s native app Map My India 

Google Map (Google Maps) eased many problems of the people, but now the indigenous app has come up to compete with it, so that you can know the location like Google Map. This indigenous app will be of Map My India (MapMyIndia). Indigenous company MapMyIndia has joined hands with ISRO to create an app like Google Map. Based on this data, MapMyIndia will provide service to the people in a digital way through the app.

PUBG’s homegrown app FAU-G


has been launched in India, the mobile game app FAU-G considered to be Desi PUBG. You can download this app from Google Play Store.
