Kisan Credit Card gets benefit: Now Kisan Credit Card has also been added to the PM Kisan Scheme. If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan Yojana, then you have to download only one page form from the website. You also have to submit only Aadhaar card with the form in the form of documents.
Aadhar card becomes mandatory: Aadhar card has now been made mandatory by the central government to avail the benefits of this scheme. Now registration for this scheme cannot be done without Aadhaar card. Apart from this, you also need an Aadhaar card to know the status after registration of the scheme.
Everybody gets benefits: The central government has now scrapped the holding limit for the beneficiaries of this scheme. Earlier it was decided to give benefit under this to those farmers whose cultivation was 2 hectares or 5 acres. Now the central government has abolished this obligation so that 14.5 crore farmers can get its benefits.
There is also a facility for self-registration: Before applying for PM Kisan Scheme, one had to go to the Common Service Center. But now the farmer can register himself for this scheme as soon as he sits at home.
You can check the status yourself: Another big change is that you can check your status yourself after registration. Like what is the status of your application, how much installment has come in your bank account etc. Now any farmer can get status information by entering his Aadhaar number, mobile or bank account number by visiting PM Kisan Portal.
