The Kashmir Files: Actor Darshan Kumaar went into depression after working in The Kashmir Files, the reason will surprise you

Actor Darshan Kumar of The Kashmir Files film has told his experience of working in the film. The actor said that he had gone into depression while shooting, due to which he did meditation for 2 weeks to come out.

Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files is creating panic at the box office. This film made on the pain and sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits is getting tremendous response from the audience. Darshan felt ashamed of himself after seeing the video of Kashmiri Pandits

Darshan Kumar’s acting and character in the film The Kashmir Files are also being liked a lot. Darshan has now shared many things about his role in The Kashmir Files in an interview, which you might be surprised to hear.

In a conversation with Bollywood Life, Darshan told how he got the role in this historical film and how was his experience working in the film. Darshan said- I met Pallavi ma’am and Vivek sir together for the first time. He showed me a video of a real victim for about half an hour so that I could understand what happened to Kashmiri Pandits. I was ashamed of myself at that time that I did not know about this part of Kashmir.

Darshan went into depression after working in the film

Darshan said- The pain of those people was shown in the video and seeing that, I decided that I will play this role. To be honest, this character has made an emotional impact on me and I went into depression. I did meditation for two weeks to get out of that feeling.

He further said, “When people saw this film in theatres, they could not control their emotions and they came out crying. Just imagine I was living that character for 40 days, it was very painful. Of all the characters I have played in my life, this has been the toughest.

Anupam Kher said this about the film

Talking about his character in the film, Anupam Kher said that this time he has not played any character, but has shown the pain of a community. Anupam Kher said- I do acting… I play role… but this time I have not played character. Anupam Kher said that The Kashmir Files is not about dialogue, but about what happened to Kashmiri Pandits 32 years ago. At that time 90 crore people of the country remained silent. The police had disappeared, the army was in the barracks… nobody knew what happened to us.
