The entry-level E trim now includes a set of basic features, including halogen projector headlights, LED taillights, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, dual-tone interior design, power windows at both front and rear, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, six airbags, height-adjustable seatbelts for the front, ABS with EBD, ESP and HHC.

The new E variant of the Toyota Rumion lacks several features compared to its successor, the S variant. The S variant is priced at ₹10.51 lakh, a price difference of approximately ₹95,500. To keep the price down, the company has removed some features from this base variant.

This variant misses out on turn indicators on ORVMs, body-coloured door handles and ORVMs, a sliding armrest with storage between the front seats, AC vents in the centre console for the second row, remote keyless entry, and illuminated Type-C charging ports for the second row. Also missing are features like a day/night adjustable IRVM, a touch-controlled audio display with four speakers and two tweeters, steering-mounted controls, USB and Aux inputs, and a security alarm.

Toyota Rumion: Engine

The new E trim comes with a 103 hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, available only with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine is shared with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian market. This is the only trim that doesn’t offer an automatic transmission or CNG variant. Considering all this, this MPV competes with cars like the Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki’s Ertiga.
