Train Cancel in Delhi NCR: Winter has begun. Fog is expected to exacerbate people’s problems along with the cold. Delhi is already suffering from air pollution. The fog that falls in North India during winter is poised to slow down trains. Fog affects not only road traffic but also rail and air traffic. Although the fog hasn’t yet set in, the Railways have already begun preparations. Sources indicate that preparations are underway to cancel 24 pairs of trains originating from various stations in Delhi and across the country. Many of these trains travel via Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to other states.
The Railways believe that these trains may be cancelled due to the potential for significant delays in long-distance trains due to fog. Many trains may be cancelled due to fog over the next three months (December-February). In this regard, the East Central Railway (ECR) has cancelled a total of 24 pairs of trains (48 different train services) from December 1, 2025, to March 3, 2026. Passengers are being advised to seek alternative trains or plan their travel accordingly. It is reported that these cancellations will be implemented in a phased manner by Indian Railways.
The list of trains cancelled due to fog is as follows:
- Train No. 18103, Tata Amritsar Express, will be cancelled from December 1, 2025, to February 25, 2026.
- Train No. 18104, Amritsar Tata Express, will be cancelled from December 3, 2025, to February 27, 2026.
- Train No. 12873, Hatia Anand Vihar Express, will be cancelled from December 1, 2025, to February 26, 2026.
- Train No. 12874, Anand Vihar Hatia Express, will be cancelled from December 2, 2025, to February 27, 2026.
- Train No. 22857, Santragachi Anand Vihar Express, will be cancelled from December 1, 2025, to March 2, 2026.
- Train No. 14617, Purnea Court Amritsar Janseva Express, will be cancelled from December 3, 2025, to March 2, 2026.
- Train No. 14618, Amritsar Purnea Court Janseva Express, will be cancelled from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
- Train No. 15903, Dibrugarh Chandigarh Express, will be cancelled from December 1, 2025, to February 27, 2026.
