Train Cancelled Update: February is underway and is coming to an end in just a few days. If you’re planning a train trip in the last week of February or early March, please pause and read this update. You may have to change your travel plans. Indian Railways has taken a major decision, canceling 24 important trains on Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal routes between February 25th and March 3rd.

This sudden change could impact the bookings and travel plans of thousands of passengers. According to the Railways, this step has been taken to strengthen security along with track and infrastructure upgrades. Therefore, be sure to check your train status before traveling, or you’ll face problems.

Railways Explains Reason

Winter fog often causes train delays during January and February. However, this time, the situation is different. Railways stated that some trains have been temporarily cancelled due to track maintenance, repairs to old bridges, line blocks, and technical upgrades. This means that the delays are not due to weather, but rather to infrastructure improvements.

Officials say this move will be beneficial for passengers in the long term. Improved tracks, stronger bridges, and upgraded systems will ensure more safe and punctual train operations. While this move by the Railways may cause inconvenience to passengers now, it is crucial to maintaining smooth train operations in the future.
