There is news from Orai that due to fog, Barauni Mail and Intercity Express will remain cancelled for many days from December to February. The frequency of some trains will also be reduced. MP Narayandas Ahirwar has demanded stoppage of special trains at Orai station and running of trains till Chitrakoot on Amavasya. DRM has assured to make appropriate efforts.
In view of the winter fog, the Barauni Mail and Intercity Express will be cancelled for several days from December to February.
North Central Railway’s Jhansi Division Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Singh said that for safe and smooth rail operations from December 1 to February 28, it has been decided to cancel some mail and express trains, reduce their frequency and partially cancel them.
Under this, train number 1123 Gwalior-Barauni will be cancelled on Mondays and Thursdays from December 1 to February 26. Train number 11124 Barauni-Gwalior will be cancelled on Tuesdays and Fridays from December 2 to February 27. Train number 11109-11110 Veerangna Laxmibai Jhansi-Lucknow Intercity Express will be cancelled on Saturdays and Sundays from December 6 to February 28.
Special trains should stop, trains should run till Chitrakoot on Amavasya
Railways is running special trains from Jhansi-Kanpur rail section in view of Chhath Puja. Despite this, these trains have not been stopped at Orai station. After getting information about this matter, MP Narayandas Ahirwar talked to DRM. He has also written a letter.
In which he said that train number 01415-16 Pune-Gorakhpur will be operated from 27 September to 1 December but it has not been stopped at Orai station. Similarly, train number 01207-08 Nagpur to Samastipur (Bihar) will be operated every Wednesday and Thursday from 27 September to 27 November.
It has also not been stopped here. Both of these should be stopped at Orai. Along with this, special trains should be operated till Chitrakoot Dham Karvi on every Amavasya. On which the DRM has assured to make appropriate efforts.
