Bihar Train News: East Central Railway has given a big relief to the passengers of Bihar. Routes and stoppages of 18 trains have been changed. Many major trains will now go to Ara and Saharsa. Train Route Change: East Central Railway has announced a big relief for the passengers of Bihar. Keeping in mind the increasing demand of regional passengers, the Railways has changed the route and stoppage of 18 trains. Now many important trains have been extended to Ara and Saharsa, which will reduce dependence on the capital Patna and passengers will get the facility to travel directly. Through these changes, time will be saved in long distance travel and the journey will become more comfortable. This is a big relief especially for the passengers of Bhojpur, Seemanchal and North Bihar.
Now many long distance trains will get direct connection from Ara and Saharsa, which will also make ticket booking and travel planning easier. Railway officials say that these changes will ensure passenger convenience and better connectivity.
Direct train from Ara to Jaynagar and Kolkata
From 12 September 2025, Jaynagar–Danapur–Ara Intercity Express (13225/13226) will go directly from Ara to Jaynagar. Not only this, Kolkata–Patna–Ara Garib Rath Express (13127/13128) will also reach Ara now. Along with this, it has been decided to start Ara–Rajendra Nagar–New Jalpaiguri Express (13245) and Ara–Rajendra Nagar–Kamakhya Capital Express (13248) from Ara.
New facility from Kamakhya to Ara
Kamakhya–Rajendra Nagar Capital Express (13247) will now go directly to Ara and from September 14, train number 13248 will depart from Ara. This will relieve the passengers of Bhojpur district from the hassle of going to Patna first and will also save their time.
Good news for Saharsa passengers
Narpatganj–Saharsa–Amritsar Jansadharan Express (14603/14604) and Ahmedabad–Barauni–Saharsa Express (19483/19484) have been extended for Saharsa. Also, the train running from Bengaluru (22351/22352) will now go to Saharsa. This change is a big relief for the passengers of Seemanchal region.
New connectivity for Supaul and Koderma
Supaul–Danapur–Pune Superfast Express (11401/11402) and Danapur–Rajgir–Koderma Express (13234/13233) have also been extended. This will provide better connectivity to the passengers of Supaul and Koderma for long distance travel.
Ara is becoming a new railway hub
After these decisions, Ara is emerging as a major railway hub. Direct connection of long distance trains from Ara and Saharsa will make the journey of passengers easier and will also reduce the traffic pressure on Patna.
