Travel: One of the biggest challenges for international travelers is obtaining foreign currency and forex cards on time. Often, trip plans are made quickly, but forex is unavailable due to bank timings or weekends. To address this issue, BookMyForex, part of the MakeMyTrip Group, has launched a new service that allows for forex cards to be delivered within 7 days.
What new services will be available?
BookMyForex has now launched same-day delivery. This means that if you complete payment and documentation before 1 pm, your forex card and currency notes will be delivered to your doorstep that same day. The company will deliver forex cards and currency notes through Pay-on-Delivery (POD). Customers can now collect forex at their doorstep using UPI or digital payments. If you prefer to pay in cash, cash-on-delivery is also available for up to ₹50,000 per passenger.
Delivery will also be available on weekends
The company stated that most people look for forex on the weekend or a day or two before travel. Previously, the problem was that deliveries were only available on weekdays, resulting in many orders going unfulfilled. Now, BookMyForex will offer 7-day delivery, reducing last-minute travel rush. According to COO Gagan Malhotra, the aim is to make the forex process faster and easier. Seven-day delivery and doorstep payment will allow customers to access forex without hassle.
The company’s BIGFOREXSALE also started.
BookMyForex has also launched its seasonal offer, BIGFOREXSALE. Customers can avail up to 2% cashback up to ₹7,500 by entering the promo code BIGFXSALE at the time of ordering.
What is a Forex Card?
A forex card is a prepaid card that’s compatible with Visa or Mastercard. You can load one or more foreign currencies onto it. You can withdraw money from ATMs abroad. You can make payments at hotels, restaurants, stores, and online. Most importantly, the rates are locked in, so fluctuations don’t affect your rate.
