According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar, these holidays are not uniform across the country. Banks will be closed in some states, while operations will continue as normal in others. However, even during bank closures, customers can use digital services like net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs. However, check clearing and counter-related work will not be possible on that day.

Banks Closed Tomorrow

Banks will be closed tomorrow in Imphal, Jammu, and Srinagar due to Shab-e-Qadr. Shab-e-Qadr is considered a very sacred and important day in Islam. It is also known as Laylatul Qadr, and it is believed that the first verse of the Holy Quran was written on this night. This night falls in the last ten days of Ramadan and is a night of special worship and prayer for Muslims. On this day, people pray all night.

Banks will be closed in Imphal, Jammu, and Srinagar on this day.

March 19: Gudi Padwa/Ugadi/Telugu New Year/First Day of Navaratri

Banks will be closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Srinagar, and Vijayawada on this day.

March 20: Eid al-Fitr/Jumat al-Vida

Banks will be closed in many cities across the country on this day. These include New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Ranchi, Raipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and many others.

March 21: Ramadan Eid/Sarhul

Banks will be closed on this day in several cities, including Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, and Ranchi.

March 22: Sunday

Bank branches will be closed across the country due to Sunday.

Month-end Holidays

Banks will also be closed in the last week of March due to some major festivals.

March 26: Ram Navami

Banks will be closed in several cities, including Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Kolkata.

March 27: Ram Navami (Chaitra Dashain)

Banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, and Gangtok.

March 31: Mahavir Jayanti

Banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, and Ranchi.
