A new platform, UAE BORN, is celebrating the arrival of newborns across the UAE, bringing citizens and residents together to share in the joy of new life.

The initiative was created by Yasser bin Mohammed, a content creator with a master’s degree in corporate communication and public relations. Developed as a personal and voluntary project, it reflects his passion for community engagement.

With over a decade of media experience and ventures in creative and influencer marketing, Yasser recognised an opportunity to create something meaningful for families in the UAE.

The inspiration behind UAE BORN

The concept was inspired by an existing Emirati tradition called “Janaza Al Emirate,” where the community shares information about those who have passed away. This allows the community to offer condolences and participate in funeral rites and burial ceremonies.

Yasser explained: “We have this beautiful tradition where we come together during difficult times. I thought, why not create something similar to celebrate life instead? It’s a beautiful occasion that brings together citizens and residents, and we wanted to celebrate life through it.”

How UAE Born works

Starting from 2026, as part of a broader family-focused initiative, UAE BORN invites anyone with a newborn to contact the platform and provide information about their child.

The platform then publishes this information, and community members can offer their blessings and participate in sharing the good news.

“Anyone who has a newborn can reach out to us and provide the baby’s information,” Yasser said. “We then share these details, and everyone can congratulate them on the platform and share in their joy. It’s a beautiful community occasion, and every family celebrates it in their own special way.”

Celebrating notable births

The platform also features a unique section highlighting notable figures — including media personalities, creative professionals, scientists, and well-known community members — who were born in the UAE, whether citizens or residents.

“We added a section where we occasionally mention people who are well-known in the community and were born in the UAE,” Yasser explained. “Instead of just saying ‘Happy Birthday,’ we acknowledge that on this day, a renowned content creator, scientist, or other notable figure was born in our country. It connects us to our shared heritage.”

Looking ahead, UAE BORN plans to expand with educational and informational content about child-rearing, parental care, and community support systems. The platform aims to become a comprehensive resource for various stages of family life.

“We want this platform to be a reference point for everyone — whether they’re preparing for marriage, recently married, or expecting a child,” Yasser said. “We want to provide information about childcare, parenting, community support, and other related topics. This way, we bring all these people together in one place.”

“We’ve organised everything and created forms where people can register and provide the information, they want us to share in our posts,” Yasser explained. “Over time, we hope to develop more ideas and create larger content offerings for the community.”

The launch of UAE BORN represents a fresh approach to fostering family values and community engagement in the UAE, creating a dedicated space where citizens and residents can come together to celebrate new life and share in the joy of new arrivals.
