UAN passbook download: Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) members can download their UAN passbook online from home. There are two ways to do this, allowing them to check their PF balance. This means you no longer need to visit any office to obtain your UAN passbook. You can easily view information such as contributions, interest, and EPF balance from the comfort of your home, using the Umang app or visiting the EPFO’s official portal.
Keep these things in mind:
If you want access to your UAN passbook, your account must be active. Sometimes, new contributions may take time to be entered. PF accounts that have been closed or deactivated, as well as those with exemptions, will not be able to download the passbook online.
1. Process to download the UAN passbook online from the Umang app
You can also access and download your UAN passbook online through the Unified Mobile Application Governance (UMANG). Follow the steps below.
Step 1: First, you need to download the Umang app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Then, create an account and log in with your mobile number. Step 2: Now, type EPFO in the Umang app’s search bar and search for it. Then, go to Employee Centric Services.
Step 3: Click on the View Passbook option.
Step 4: Next, type in your UAN.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to complete the verification process.
Step 6: After selecting your ID, your passbook will appear, which you can download as a PDF.
2. Downloading the Passbook through the EPFO Portal
Step 1: To download the UAN passbook, first visit the EPFO’s official portal at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
Step 2: Now you need to log in by entering your UAN and password. Remember, your UAN must be active for this. If it isn’t, activate it first through the EPFO website.
Step 3: Your screen will now display the IDs of all the employers you’ve worked for. Select the ID for which you want to download the passbook.
Step 4: You will then be able to download your EPF passbook in PF format.
