Uber to help covid vaccine recipients; Free travel will be guaranteed

New Delhi: Uber, an online taxi service provider, has come up with an incentive for Kovid vaccine recipients. Uber promotes free travel for those receiving Kovid vaccination. According to company officials, Uber’s benefit is for those who are vulnerable and lagging behind in going to vaccination centers for vaccination.

The company has initially offered more than 25,000 free trips to 19 cities across the country. Delhi, NRC, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh. It will cover Kolkata, Kochi, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Mangalore, Indore, Jaipur, Vijayawada and Jodhpur.

Uber launched the concept of free travel in March after the Kovid eruption. Uber India and South Asia President Prabhit Singh has said that more than 60,000 free trips have been made so far from government and private centers to receive the vaccine. He said 86 per cent of the trips were from Delhi. The company said the plan would create opportunities for drivers to increase revenue.
