UGC Recruitment 2021: University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Consultant on contract basis. The last date to apply for UGC Consultant is 31 October 2021. To apply for this recruitment, candidates should have first class master’s degree in any discipline from recognized university, NET in relevant discipline.
As per the notification, selected candidates can get salary of 70,000 to 80,000 per month. The maximum age limit for recruitment to this post has been kept 35 years. Appointment to the post will be made on the recommendation of a duly constituted Selection Committee. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through official website ugc.ac.in/jobs.
As per the notification, the probation period will be six months which can be extended further on the basis of performance review. Apart from this, UGC can also terminate at any time without assigning any reason.
At the same time, in view of Kovid-19, as an essential qualification for direct recruitment of assistant professors, the University Grants Commission has banned the mandatory requirement of PhD for recruitments to be held from July 1, 2021 to July 1, 2023.
UGC has also issued notice to all higher education institutions regarding this decision. Relief has been given to the candidates so that they can be recruited on the posts of teachers lying vacant in the university.
