Let us tell you that till now the contract sweeper gets 308 rupees, it has been increased to 336.85 rupees per day. Accordingly, after taking four days off in the month, they will get Rs 8758 per month. Apart from this, there will be no deduction in it. So far, they get 8012.73 rupees a month.
In fact, sanitation workers have been deployed in bodies across the state through more than 5000 working organizations. In the year 2014, their honorarium was fixed at Rs 250 per day. It was increased to Rs 308.18 per day on 24 May 2019.
Significantly, according to labor laws, minimum wages of daily laborers have been fixed afresh. In this, in the Minimum Wages Act 1948, arrangements were made for determination of basic rates and change in dearness allowance to workers, workers.
