According to the Meteorological Department, a weak western disturbance is currently active, which may cause cloudy skies in many areas. Rain and snowfall are expected in the higher reaches.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for cloudy skies and light to moderate rain with strong winds in most parts of Haryana and Punjab. Several districts in Punjab have experienced rain and hailstorms over the past 36 hours, further intensifying the cold. Rain is expected in Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, and Mohali in the next few hours. The minimum temperature here is expected to be 5 to 6 degrees Celsius and the maximum around 22 degrees Celsius.

A rain and hailstorm alert has been issued for approximately 25 districts in Uttar Pradesh, including the Agra and Moradabad divisions.
